Me and my friend want to have a pulling contest between our to vehicles. A pulling contest is where you each try to pull the other vehicle backwards. Like tug of war. I have a 2000 Infiniti qx4 with 4wd and 4W LO. And he has a 2003 ford escape 2WD. Any advice on what I should do, and how I can win?
I’ve heard that the newer 4 cylinder 2.5L Escapes get better mileage than the 2008 and older 2.3L models. Something like 20-22 with the 2.3′s and 24-26 with the 2.5′s. Is this true?
I’m speaking of the basic 2WD automatic models BTW. I’m asking because I prefer the look of older Escapes, but I want the one that gets the best mileage.

Yup. The new Duratec 25 2.5L I4 was specifically designed to increase fuel economy, as well as horsepower and torque. In addition, it is paired to a six-speed automatic instead of a four-speed. So its a win-win: more power, less gas!

That makes sense.
